bar under my engine is cracked

bar under my engine is cracked

whats up folks I have a 5 spd and i noticed that a bar or rod of some sort is cracked and its making my engine sit low and un even im sure and im wondering if this is a common problem and what to do about this. is there a welding option or do i have to replace the whole support system

It's the bridge that connects with the motor mounts isn't it? You will most likely have to replace that if it is. If not the motor mounts will hang with the engine.

I believe it's your crossmember. I would go to a junkyard and swap it.

How do you even crack a crossmember? This vehicle must have some kind of dubious history.

OK sorry I went Mia phone was broken. But I found out its my radiator support rotting away smh guy told me to sell the car it's not worth it and guy at maaco said 700 and he will help me out

Ill help u out oem is like 120 for lower and ill weld it in for 100 looks like 220 gets it done an i hope you never speak with a guy from macco afain an btw fire your mechanic he sux

Changing out the cross member is not that difficult to do. As far as it rotting out, it is pretty common depending on where you live.
