Bad coil

Bad coil

Well I was driving the other day when bam it ran like **** motor shaking no power .. Well the code was p0301 so check it out is the coil on bank 1 went south.. Went to bone yard got oem coils and know runs like new .. Man I can't believe one coil going out and ran so bad ... Just throwing that out there...

Not only is that dead cylinder not contributing, it is now adding parasitic drag. Don't see how that surprises you.

Yeah ... a 6 cylinder engine running on 5 cylinders will do that.

Luckily yours threw a code for bad coil. Usually it will not throw a CEL.

Be thankful your coil failed perfectly and therefore was easy to diagnose. They rarely do fail that way.
