*3500.00$ Dollar$ on the line*

Hey to all my Maxima Fiends....
My question is... because i'm getting ready to do an overhaul in my engine compartment, and just want to get a general understanding on the laws of inertia before i start to try to attempt this...
I have 190 Hp in my Maxima and i'm raising the bar by 85+ horse's and 30+ Lbs of TORQUE. I'm also losing about 500 Lbs of weight to make my car lighter. Wht should my 0-60 improved time after my modifications be if I'm at 7 seconds (stock) right now?
I have a 1996 maxima GLE with a 97' VQ30De power plant and I'm about to swap in a 2004' VQ35 Maxima Engine with 265 Horsepower. Any suggestions...?
Any Formulas...? My power to weight ratio should look like 2995 Lbs with 285 HP, which is like 10.5 Lbs per Horsepower

Oh wow.

You'll need to read a lot.
Check out the all motor section yet?
Good stuff in that section.

Are you keeping 3.0 timing or doing a full 3.5 swap?

full 3.5 swap...?
Yes i believe i am going to do the full 3.5 swap, im not really sure on the timing. I'm no expert. I know for a fact ive gotta do the cam's but pretty much im leaving it up to my mechanic and having him cram all the available horsepower outta that 2004 VQ3.5 as possible with out juicing or boosting. my 4th Gen in the end should be 508 Lbs lighter than the 2004 Max (i guess depends on my whole sound system and set up,) but it should also be at least 85+ horses stronger under the hood +plus TRQ. And no i havn't checked out the all motor section yet... I'm still very new to this site and havn't really explored all my options... Funny -but if i wouldve done a little more research i wouldve done the 2004' VQ3.5 from the start... cause i just did the 97' VQ30De a month ago... but i want more horsepower and torque and overall wheel speed. I'm a real driver with a heavy foot and these little 190 horses aint doin it for me AT ALL!!!

This is a awesome upgrade...My 98 Maxima just got mistakened for a Camry! Geeezzzz Camry wished they ran, handled and had the aftermarket performance parts like Maxima's always have!

true, 7 second stock 4th gen

also where are you planning on losing 500 pounds? the fourth gen is already light weight
