Fast And Furious Can Be Yours!!??
Hey there everybody l lve in so cal and guess what im looking at. The sweet ride that was on fast and furious in this regular old car for sale magazine. Wow pretty cool huh but is all that worth it. it seemed that it had more hp than that on the movie. Hollywood huh,. but that surley would be nice to chek this car out and see what all hes got on the thing . Another good part is that all the work is already done, leaving you to sit back and enjoy your investment. i wish i had the fu%$$^$% money to go get that max, its just right down the road to well im out , Write back tell me whose gonna get it, c-ya
It's been mentioned already on the board. Still can't believe it's only $20k though. Just finished watching the movie and if I had the money I'd definitely buy it. They should show more of it though.
Well...
Most people don't like to buy modified cars. They get into problems they don't understand and expect. Especially one with as many mods as the F&F Maxima has, including the notorious Stillen S/C. If you look in the paper you will notice slightly modified cars sell for the same if not less than the car would stock. Heavily modified cars are a different ball-game, as they are normally sold to people who understand them. The Maxima is a different case though, because it is a rare custom car.

What was the deal with the French hood? The hood of the Max in TF&F hinged at the front instead of the back? Just like a Renault 9 or the 80's 3 series.
Does that seems like useless mod (just for the sake on modding, instead of for some benefit) or is it supposed to give better access to the engine or sumfin?

All the mods I do to any of my cars have to have a benefit for me, and that benefit has to be worth the investment. (better looks, speed, power, handling) I guess I'm just picky.
just wait for my CF hood to be mounted and hinged to lift up on the windshield
craig's car is very nice.. i saw it up close and nopi and got to take a real close look at it.. 275 is the HP to the flywheel.. it's 230 to the wheels..

$25,000 thats it!!!!!!! I think thats a good deal considering the amount of mods it has, I d just have to install some coilovers or cut the front springs since it still has some gap in the front fenderwell.
Not a bad deal, but it is automatic so I wouldnt really enjoy it that much.

That car is on the cover of the current CSR (Car Stereo Review). They have a full feature article on it.

No Way...
This car is the JBL project car. Here is the text on the site...
The car was purchased new in 1999 as a daily driver. After undergoing some mild modifications, the car went under the knife for a complete makeover in the Spring of 2000. Dodge Viper GTS blue paint was sprayed over the Stillen-enhanced body. With a custom reverse-mount hood (like a Viper), the car is currently the most modified Maxima known.
For performance modifications, the car went to the leader in Nissan performance, Stillen, who added their supercharger kit and other accessories, including a Formula one braking system from AP Racing. The car produced 221 hp to the wheels. A Veilside carbon fiber wing and Bomex side mirrors from Japan round out the car’s exterior styling.
For the interior, Trimmasters provided a one-off blue carbon fiber dash kit and Stitchcraft provided the upholstery work. A $20,000 In car electronics system comprised of extensive Audio/video component was installed as a Clarion/JBL/Infinity joint venture with the latest offerings from each company finding their way into the car. The car’s three huge JBL W12Gti woofers weigh more than 20 lbs. each with a special support system needed. The car’s five JBL amplifiers produce more than 4000 watts and required two additional batteries to support the electrical load.
Other lighting and trim accessories were provided by Toucan/Ractive/Eurolite and can be found throughout the car. The engine compartment was dressed by Hose Techniques. Motegi Ro_Ja wheels were produced just for this car and custom suspension work was done by Ractive.
A nitrous system and custom roll-cage are in the works now.
This car is used in the making of the movie The Fast and The Furious due out June 22, 2001. The car was used by the character "Vince", played by Matt Schulze, a bad guy in the movie.
The car was used in a few action and chase sequences. The car’s performance mods were performed by Stillen in preparation for the movie. One sequence in the movie, a fight scene between "Brian" and "Vince" damaged the quarter panel and doors. The studio repaired and restored the car to perfection.
The car is slated to appear in a variety of magazines, none of which could be shot prior to delivery to Universal Pictures for its’ movie appearance. The car’s audio construction has taken the last two months and the car was completed only days before the Hollywood Premier of the movie.
The car is valued at $75,000.
..Yes I doubt a $75,000 is going for $25,000. The car this thread is about must be a double. The REAL FATF car is owned by JBL. Too bad though...

Re: No Way...
It's the same car. Craig Lieberman owns the JBL project car, same car in the movie. I talked to him a few months back, and he was already trying to sell the car then. The car is not worth $75K. If you add up inflated retail and labor rates, yes, there is $75K there, but he didn't pay that much for it. There is no double of the car. My car has close to the same modifications as that car, and if you added it all up, there's probably $65K in my car. But if I were to sell it right now, I'd get maybe $20-$25K for it.
