I have 156 000KM (~96 720 miles) on my 1995. Is this considered high, or average?

You guys must joy ride a lot if you're racking up that many miles!
(But then again, thatz why we own a Max )

I only have have 33,000 KILOMETRES (Canadian! ) on my 98 GLE.
I'm not sure what the conversion to miles is, but it's low, but not as low as MarkP (How's he do it?)

Not me. Only have 28K on my 96SE.

I have 63k so far, no problems

If I am not mistaken, there was some guy who said he had 210k on his 97... just rebuilding the auto tranny now. There are a bunch of people up over 150k. I bet if we wait 4+ years, all of our cars will be up there and still running great, like the 3rd gens

I put 850 miles on my car last week. Give me a year and I'll have a 99 with over 100,000 miles on it. I just hit 60,000 a few days ago.

I have 157k on my 95 GLE, still original engine and tranny. BTW my previous car was an 85 GXE and it still running great, with 320k. I rebuilt the tranny at 180k and changed timing belt a few times. Never anything else, not a valve cover gasket, never even opened the motor for anything. Changed the rack twice @75k and 165k and that's it.

97 SE since new, now 81040 miles. Never had any serious problems

Problems encountered so far
Dead battery last year
Glazed rotors from heavy braking
right front axle bearings went out - covered by warranty

and thats it for 4 years. not bad i must say.

But the car jolts and rattles and is sooo annoying now..but i can't complain because it still moves at least

Rino1313..."I take the cake" Uhhh...no, I don't think so.

I've got 216,000 on my 97 SE auto. I replaced the tranny at 205,000 miles but the engine is still strong and it still runs as new. I won't claim to take the cake though. I ran into a guy at the dealer the other day with 280K on a 95 GXE. As for how I rack up this kind of mileage? It's a work mule for me. Getting ready to send it to the body shop for PDR, new floor mats, new leather, new winshield. Just going to refresh it.

If you were in the south east that max would have at least double the mileage considering the meet's and fun thing's people do on the highway late at night here in Georgia.

98SE 5spd just hit 70-k.Had a 92GXE with 167k mile's that i fuc ked up when i attempted to change the plugs with my novice mechanical skill's.Long story short i threaded the head, car smoked heavily, bought another engine, spent 1500 to get **** running had it for two more month's and one sunny day saw a black SE beckoning me two day's later it was mine.

When I bought my 97 SE 5 speed last year it was just under 25K, and in brand new condition. Now after like a year and a half, the car just hit 51K. (still in brand new condition)
