Back from the dead
Back from the dead
Hello everyone! Well, after the car wreck and total of my se-r, I'm forced to put the max back on the road as a daily... (until insurance comes through)...so today I start her up turn the defrost on to warm her up...go back outside and it's blowing through the vents not the defrost....I've done some searching and done the self diagnostic on the ACC and come to the conclusion that the mode door motor is not working...everything else works fine, except I noticed if I turn the temp down to 84 or 83 it gets cold air flowing out of it...if anybody has a link to the FSM for the 99 hvac it would help alot...I want to check the temp setting that show up in the diagnostic mode as well...thanks
Glad to see that you are out of the hospital and doing ok.
The 85 setting is heat on all the time. The 65 setting does the same for the a/c. Any setting in between relies on the temperature sensors. If you run the self diagnostic, I would expect you will see a wacky reading in section 5 when the temperature sensor readings are displayed.
the self diagnostic is in section HA, starting on page 70.
Note: if you run the diagnostic at night or in a dimly lit garage, you will get error 25, sunload sensor.
