Input shaft bearing

Ok, before anyone tries to flame me... I have searched and haven't been able to find anything other than someone diagnosing it.. I have a 97 se 5 spd.. wanting to replace my input shaft bearing... yes I know that's the issue, I've already replaced the clutch, flywheel, and throw out bearing and I DO have shaft play on the input shaft.. the only thing I've been able to find is how to tell if it's the throw out or input shaft bearing.. any help would be appreciated..

I replaced my trans due to the same issue. There is a good guide with pics on the .org somewhere. It looks pretty involved and complicated, especially if you haven't opened up a trans before. I chose to replace mine instead of re-build it. I though it over long and hard, and was leaning toward re-building it for a long time. I was able to find a cheap replacement trans on craigslist, and decided to go that route instead.

You might be able to crack it open and just replace the one bearing, put everything back together and be good. Someone else will have to chime in that has done this before. I hear once they are fixed, they are good to go.
