It's somewhat complicated to explain how to get all the "monitors ready" as there are many variables and conditions that need to be meet. just drive it for 3 days as you should be good to go.

The beauty of having a decent scan tool is it will tell you which monitors are ready and which ones are not. Wasted trips to smog shops can be avoided.

So what's a good but cheap scan tool on the market?

50 miles to 150 miles to see the ks codes and so on. The ks is on the top of lim so it can quickly pick up the knock from the cams and pistons if the was to happened to motor would shake or hesitate quick for it to get the ks code.

Since I've replaced the knock sensor I must say that I have seen a slight increase in better gas mileage.
