Just installed Remin Dash Kit!

Hello all,
I ordered a real medium burl dash kit off carID and it looks amazing! Super easy to install and it really livens up the interior. I hate fake wood so I splurged the extra for real wood. They also have real carbon fiber and aluminum, but I wanted the luxurious look. Check it out:

It was about $170, but I payed around $40 extra for real wood. My brother has the real carbon fiber one for his dodge charger but his was over $300 (!). Totally worth it in my opinion. Its built to last.

I think wood grain is kind of tacky but to each his own. It does look good for a 90's interior.

To each his own, I guess. In my opinion it gives it a luxurious look. But they have carbon fiber and aluminum if youre into that.

Oh that would be sexy. Where would I find that?

Also, I believe a company called B&I makes custom steering wheels, but that might be pricey.

Edit: Looked it up on carID and its $280. "Hand stiched with the finest materials." Kinda pricey for me.

they made em for a bit, there is a member I've seen referenced for selling them. he picks them up from japan. Might be worth a WTB thread in the classifieds.

You can get your steering wheel customized but would have to send the steering wheel out to them. Check out Craftcustoms.com. I sent mine out to them and it came out awesome.. not cheap but worth it.

What I did was buy any steering used maxima steering wheel from a junk yard maybe 50 bucks and ship it to them. I may even have my old one i can sell to you. Just Pm me.

"Golf club" yea I hate the stock shifter.

I didn't know they existed either but I searched and boom! They popped up. Great customer service too. They can do anything there. The guy Carter is great.

Here you go: http://www.carid.com/1999-nissan-max...-78331792.html

That one is for the 99 maxima. I dont know what year you have but you can put in your car and it will come up. They have tons of different materials to choose from.

CarID should pay me for this!

1995. Yeah it will fit. With only 62k miles I plan on holding onto this car for quite a bit longer, so want to give it a little more class. Bose still kicking hard for its age.

People hate on Bose, but the sound system in the maxima/i30 is incredible. Im not an audiophile but I drove a new infiniti q50 and some bmws and theirs didnt even compare.

Good luck with the dash kit and take your time to make sure they're on straight, otherwise you aint getting it off.

I removed my stock auto shifter and cut it down. Do some research on modifying stock auto shifter. You'll need a dremel and some cutting skills but very doable.

I added a momo shifter but ill be changing that soon. I had to grind 3 slot on the slide rod to mount the Allen screw that lock the shifter on the rod. So to shift from P N DR etc I have to push the shifter down to release then move it. It's pretty cool and my car looks like a Manuel now; I added a shift boot so unless you're looking down at the pedals you'll think it was Manuel.

Damn, man I was always interested in the stuff on carid. But never bought anything because no one ever puts up any reviews. I was always really interested in the dash kits but never saw any examples either, just diagrams. Thanks! I am so going to buy a kit now.

Looks freaking sweet, man.

Thanks! I looked for pictures too but couldn't find any, so I thought I'd test it out. Looks great but I didnt use all the pieces.
