Transmission Lag/Slip

Don't have any clue what went wrong, but I added some atf fluid a few days ago(Friday night) made for nissans, matic-d I think it was, in a blue Valvoline bottle. Every since then ive been having big slips. When I start the car everything is fine, pull of into first gear and its fine and shifts into second, second gear is fine if not revving a tad high going into third, and heres the problem: When going into third gear it wont actually shift until I let off the gas. Second gear will rev to about 6.5k-7k until I let off gas for it to shift now and even then, it wont actually accelerate the car until it catches at around 3.5k-4k rpm, and because of this high catch, it wont go into 4th or overdrive anymore. So I'm literally riding around in a constant gear now instead of doing a normal coast or constant acceleration when on the gas. Not sure if I'm describing it properly but that's how it feels. Any help/solutions? Ive tried adding lubegard black with no help. Btw normally I use the red Valvoline bottle for atf with no issues, but went with the one recommended for Nissan this time....

What color is your fluid? Does it smell like new fluid, or does it have a burnt smell

The tranny started to slip a tad so I added some but it only made it worse. And it was the same brand, Valvoline, but a different grade.

Ugh sorry guys I have a correction, I did change fluid brand. Last time I used Castrol multi-import and this time I used Valvoline smh. And now yes

Well maybe you should drain all of the fluid and fill it with Nissan fluid, high milage flud if they have it. Two different oils is bad. Might be all you need. Probably time for a new tranny but you never know until you change it. That is the cheapest common sense thing to do in my opinion. Good luck.
