Trunk only occasionally opens

Sometimes the trunk will only partially open and stay locked. Then I have to close it and push the trunk down while hitting the button to open it. That will always get it to open.

Is there a fix for this?

It sounds like it is latching (locking) too tightly. Adjust the part in the trunk lid by loosening the bolts and moving it down a little bit. If you do too much, you could end up with a water leak.
