Gauge Cluster Issues

My 1999 Maxima started to have some gauge cluster issues. All of a sudden the rpm needle was jumping around 1000rpms, the speedometer read nothing while i was moving. The engine temp gauge read all the way hot and fuel gauge read all the way full even though the car was not overheating and i did not have a full tank of gas. Im assuming my instrument panel is having some troubles, but i'm not sure which is the best way to go about this. Any ideas?

Could be the sensor behind it, I think it's called speed sensor. I could be wrong on that. Also, it can be that one of the solders behind the cluster needs re-soldering. Last thing I could think of would be a wire is loose.

I would start by unplugging and replugging the 3 wire harness cables 2 or 3 times each and see if that helps.

I've seen this in my 86.5 Hardbody p'up and it was the contacts were unsprung! So what I did was clean all contacts with an eraser and the contact cleaner, and lifted the instrument contacts slightly to increase their contact pressure and it fixed the erratic gauges....
