Intake Plenum Gaskets? All the same or which is better?

Doing the Fuel Injectors, Fuel Pressure Regulator, Injector Insulators, Injector Cushion Rings and fuel hose, clamps and vacuum line.

Plenum Gasket time as well. Any better than and/or offer advantages over the others?

BTW, sad day yesterday.... Rockauto sent an email with a load of closeout parts for 4th Gen Maximas. Our options are slipping away. Rockauto was by far a great friend and source for so many parts at a great price and fair shipping prices.

Probably a good time to get everything right in our Maximas so we can drive them a bunch more mile before we have to resort to Mad Max tactics.

Get the Beck/Arnley plenum gasket. It is the actual OE gasket made in Japan.

Get either Beck/Arnley or Mahle/Victor Reinz valve cover gaskets. Again, they are the actual OE gaskets with the actual OE spark plug tube seals, made in Japan.

Also clean out the EGR guide tube, and get those gaskets, too. Again, the same two brands are the actual OE gaskets.made in Japan. If cleaning out the EGR guide tube turns out to be difficult or impossible due to it being too clogged, you can still buy a brand new EGR tube from the dealer. It is about $40.

I used the fel-pro gasket set.

Quality was fine, as usual for them.

So Gentlemen, Thank you all for responding! And RWS, thanks for all that info!

So I see the Mahle is rubber. Are they all rubber and is that good?

Thanks again!

I have talked to the dealerships and other aftermarkets out there, it seems like the parts for the 4thgen getting scarcer due to not only because of age but more likely someone or some party that's wanting to put a stop out there for the maxima community. I have seen honda guys as old as early late 88,90 models civics ect are getting mad aftermarket support. I had some headers i have ordered for my car they cleaned house and fudged my onky headers. To top it off they don't produce the headers anymore now. Thanks to some person with some powers to put a stop to the aftermarket support on maximas. I will tell you this from experience and spending time and hours with manzo and megan and other aftermarket support. I can't even for gods sakes get a rear inner brake tales from courtesy nissan. They say they still have stuff for the car.

Fel-pro only for the last three 4th gen restoratations. I'm not sure what I used on the I30. Most likely Beck or OEM so some combination of that. About the time I switched to Fel-pro I started using Permatex black for VC gasket corners and got better results. I like sticking with the same supplier when a product works.

In case anybody is interested, Rockauto has the Fel-Pro and Mahle Plenum gaskets for less than $4.00 until they're gone. I'm going to buy a couple.

Or you could just not worry about any of this stuff at all and still get over 400k miles out of your Maxima like I did.

That doesn't change the fact that my 4th gen had over 400k miles on it when I sold it and was still running like a top without me ever having to change any of the gaskets mentioned previously in this thread.
Perhaps you should explain the point of your statement.

gladly, if it was running so flawlessly why did you sell it? i mean, high mileage and all i would've kept it unless there were some outlying problems with it. it looked clean, hell, i would've swapped another vq into it and kept her another 5 years, just sayin.
