Tail light harness

I am in the process of clearing my tails right now. I was curious if anyon could tell me this - I plan on using the oven method but want to know about the white wiring harness on the back. Do I remove this before the oven? Or so I put them in there with it on still? And if so do I do anything to protect it? I tried searching bu nobody mentioned this.

Thanks

SuDZ

I just redid my right side with a brand new tail light using the oven method, I went ahead and toss it on a cookie dough sheet on the rack with the rack set in the middle of the oven at 200 degrees for 5-6 minutes. I didn't remove the harness, I only removed the 5 screws that hold in the lense. Man, only if I knew this back when I did my clears with the heat gun.
