can i get a break here?? smh........

so, after doing a ton of work to maxy, ( and it's not over yet ) i noticed the drivers side mirror is loose. i go to tighten it up and pull the panel to see RUST!!!!!! how on gods earth did it get wet and rust back there? wtf, now i have to go back to the body shop and see what he's gonna need to fix this. i do remember a few years ago hitting one of those cones on the highway that they use to separate lanes and it was knocked sideways but didn't break. anyone else had this issue? i don't know if its from sitting for the last few months or what, dammit

first off, it aint luck, i maintained the crap outta my max. second off, it's 24 years old this month and i've spent well over 10,000 on body work and paint and detailing the heck outta this car. i live in a salt belt, but i think it's from the mirror being loose and leaking behind it somehow.
