3.5 4th gen swap revving high at idle

Guys I need some help finishing this swap. I am having a problem with the car revving high on its own. Not sure if it’s due to hoses being hooked up wrong or the throttle position sensor.

Are these hoses suppose to jump from the intake

Is this hose going to the right place

Is this hose going to the right place

It looks like you have the brake booster hose connected to the PCV valve on the rear valve cover.
And the other hose looks like it just connects from one manifold vacuum nipple to the other manifold vacuum nipple.

The PCV valve on the valve cover should have a hose connected from the PCV to Manifold Vacuum.

The brake booster hose should connect to manifold vacuum.

Ok thanks for the insight. I’m going to move the hoses to right hookups and give it a try.

I'm not familiar with this swap.

I can tell you that a high idle situation is usually related to the throttle setting and possibly air leaks from loose or miss routed vaccum hoses. Start by adjusting the idle speed screw. The throttle position sensor is probably not an issue.

Ok just hooked the hoses up as you indicated and it did idle better. But then it started to rev up again but not as much. Pulling up on the gas pedal helped maintain the RPMs. I think I need to play with the throttle and search for loose hoses.

I assume that your setup has throttle cables.

One is for the throttle, the other for cruise.

They need to be adusted so they have just a bit of slack. A tight cable will result in the throttle plate opening a bit too much.

Check your TPS voltages to make sure your TPS is clocked within spec. If they're out, it'll idle high.
