relearn procedure ( non-maxima question #2 )
hey, so i've done a re-learn at the dealer for one reason or another on the max over the years, my new ride (still have the max ) is a 2017 elantra, what i asked the dealer was, the shift points with my 17 se elantra feel like they're off at times, now grant you the idiot that owned my new ride obviously didn't know how to drive. there was damage to the car and i think daddy made whatever kid it was bought for return it with only 19,885 miles on it. the shift points on this car like many newer cars can be recalibrated, reason i want to do this is i feel that the shifts ( it is a dual clutch shiftronic transmission ) are irratic at times and don't think that the shift points are proper for this car. it's a 2.0 4 cylinder 147 hp ( i know ) motor and it gets 28 to 34 miles to the gallon. with this mileage, will it help the trans to reset the values back to stock? i think it might, and the dealer has agreed to do so. thoughts, and thanks
