Hello guys and gals I have a 1995 maxima with 244k I'm having a issue when at freeway speeds (60mph or up) every once in a while my radio starts studdering and all my lights flicker and my rpms on my Guage cluster act like the car is trying to die I'm curious if anyone else has had this issue and or has any insight on what to look at first?and thought are greatly appreciated, thank you in advance!!

 

You could pick up one of those cheap cig lighter voltmeters and monitor the charge voltage and go from there.

 

An issue similar to this Plagued me for yrs when I bought by 4th gen years ago.

What it ended up being was The thermostat housing 2 drips at a time falling into the alternator under pressure at highway speeds or when ever the car was hott.
