Fuel Issue? Computer/security issue? Please help.

Have 2012 Maxima. Vehicle starts and allow for a brief rev up of engine. Then will not respond to the gas pedal after initial startup. Very strange behavior! Vehicle will then continue to idle just fine with no issue at all. Just will not respond at all to the gas pedal being pressed down after initial startup. Security issue? Can’t be a fuel pump issue I don’t think. See the attached pic of the dash board too. Almost all light are on.

Get a voltmeter and let us know the voltage before and while running at the battery. Looks like (and I am speculating without readings) you may have an alternator issue.

I'm with the Lt on this one, most likely a bad alternator.

Thank you for your response LT. I appreciate you taking the time to reply. Dumb question.....would a faulty alternator cause the vehicle to still idle just fine though?
I'm not disagreeing with your assessment, I'm just green behind the ears about this particular issue with my vehicle.

Thanks for the reply as well MaximusN8.
Would a faulty alternator cause the vehicle to not respond when the gas pedal is engaged? (vehicle is able to run and idle)

Our 7th gens are really susceptable to voltage anamolies..a lot of weird things can occur if it doesnt get what it needs. But, recall that we are just spitballing here. We need more data to be sure.
