for my 1998 Maxima with 60k miles. .is it okay to use Techron complete fuel system cleaner? would it help clean out engine/fuel system and improve it overall including better gas mileage? How much do you use? thx in advance

Thanks.. but i am also reading that the 1998 Maxima manual says not to add any fuel cleaners? So could it hurt an engine that only has 60k miles and currently runs fine?

What are you hoping to achieve.

Most decent quality gasoline includes fuel system cleaners.

 

You can if you’d like but if you use quality 93 gasoline you probably don’t need it. Can’t hurt tho.. Lucas is also good as an upper cylinder lubricant.

I would suggest changing your fuel filter if you never have before. You can run a Z32 filter which is larger so it doesn’t have to be changed as often.
