Power antenna delete?

Soooo I been having problems with my power antenna. Pulled it out to find out previous owner even swapped it for an aftermarket one. Even still, its not working at all just the motor making noise even when the car is off. Wondering if I need the antenna considering the fact I have a aftermarket radio with bluetooth. Would everything still work if I removed the unit and sealed the hole off? If not.. what would you suggest i should do?

Whether it's aftermarket or OEM unit with a FM or AM/FM tuner, needs an antenna for clear reception.

I'd find a used OEM antenna unit and take it apart and clean and regrease it if the motor is reliably operational and replace the antenna with an original Nissan replacement. That is if the hack didn't rip out the power for the antenna unit.

There's a guy here Maxfever1987 I believe that has two 97s in his garage he's parting that might have a working unit for sale. He's in Queens, NY.

Try sending him a PM to find out!

Bluetooth is a wireless communication mechanism used to connect local devices like phones, earpieces with and without microphones and MP3 players. Has nothing to do with AM, FM or Satellite music reception.

Do you ever listen to the Radio in your car when driving? There's your answer.
