New ecm wont start

I have a 1996 Nissan Maxima with a new ecm that I put in and it has fuel it has spark everything is plugged in. But it still will not run on its own. I pulled the line on top of the fuel filter and gas was coming out. It only runs off of starting fluid. It will start off of it sit there for a second and then start to bogg down and I’ll spray a little more and it goes back to idle. But when I hit the gas, it doesn’t react. Anything helps just trying to get it running.

It’s likely a fuel pump that happened to me when I was diagnosing it with starting fluid and it does dies after I stop spraying turn out pump was dead

I pulled the line from the fuel filter and turned the key and fuel came out of the line. Does it do that with a bad pump still. I can hear it prime too when I turn the key. But it’s acting like there’s no fuel.

Is your car manual transmission or automatic.

Please give us some history.
What was the original problem ?

What were the codes ?

Which repair attempts did you try, and why ?

What made you decide to replace the ecu.

Are you just firing the parts cannon to hope for success
