Air conditioning issues

Hi - my 98 maxima seems to be having some ac issues. Though I got my mechanic to add Freon it's still not always blasting full cold air. Though I'm in Florida where the temp is close to 105 degrees. Does the engine need to run longer to blow colder air ? Any ideas on how to strengthen the ac ? Thanks in advance. Dan.

How long are you letting it run before you decide that the A/C is not working ?

not too long. But even after I'm on the highway for a small bit it doesn't go full blast to cool down . Maybe because temps are over 100 degrees and nothing I can do about it . But I notice newer cars don't have these issues

So you’re not worrying about air output/volume/velocity … you’re concerned about air temperature, correct?

Have you thermostated/thermo-metered the vent air temperature?

If not, do so.

If you have, what numbers are you getting?
