Problems with EVAP and Fuel fill
1999 Maxima with 130000 miles on it.
I was noticing a gas smell, and realized my gas cap wasn't clicking, so replaced it with new OEM.
That got rid of most of the gas smell, but then I started getting a P1446 code for the Vent solenoid.
A week later, when I went to fill with gas, it regurgitated back all over the ground. And just FYI, I rarely fill it, usually just enough to get to about 3/4 full.
Though I'm not sure if I did over the last couple months. Still, when I do, I don't over fill. Just stop when it clicks off.
In this case, it was at 1/4 tank, and I didn't get a gallon in before it came back up.
I've checked the solenoid and it is working fine. The charcoal canister doesn't seem to be bad, and everything from there out doesn't have any blockage.
I'm thinking I have some sort of blockage forward of the vent solenoid, and maybe in the fuel filler vent line.
I want to pull all of these and verify if they are clear or not.
My question is, where the hoses connect to the fuel tank, can I run compressed air through them to clear them, or is there something on the inside of the tank that will blow off or be harmed
if I do so?
TIA,
Kevin

That's my thought.
Question is, when I remove the various hoses, can I safely use an air compressor to blow into the nipples on the fuel tank, to clear any blockage?
Just unsure if the tank has anything like a filter or valve etc., on the other side of those nipples, that would be harmed by doing so.
Don't want to blow some screen or something off into the tank.
