Stupid Stangs

Well im on my way to school today, and i see this guy in a 02 white mustang with altezza's and stright pipes (5-speed), don't know if he had anything else but i knew he was the 6, well i finally get to a light with this guy and rev a little in my automax, just got my CAI installed Nice growl, anyway the light turns green we both gun it, I had a good car length on him off the line and up to 30 , we raced to about 50 and i wanted to go further but this dumb ### van pulls into the road so i hafta slow down, don't wanna risk anything goin through city traffic. But this guy thought he was the SHiznat in his stang and he got beat by a 4 door automax , if anybody in ft. collins sees this guy, race him (easy kill) and make him look like a fool for buyin a POS rustang.

Ya i know what ya mean, i plan on doin the vb mod and torque convertor eventually, maybe then i can be as fast as a 5-speed with a little extra work done of course. Ya i don't mess with the v8 guys yet cause i know theyre faster than me for the time being, gimme a year and then we'll see .

Re: Stupid Stangs

You are lucky you only went to 50mph, after that he would have eaten you. My friend has a 2000 stang auto. I take him easily by a car length from 0 to 50-60mph, but after that he just pulls away. Well that was before my 5spd swap. My car at the time had a popcharger, thats it. I havent ran him again yet. I have 5spd now and ypipe, i should be able to take him.

If you come across a 94/95 GT go for it. We take them almost every time. my friend has one and gets ticked everytime it happens.

I disagree with skeelo34, I raced a stang GT sunday night at about 70 and wore him out to about 115 or so.

Auto's can hang... just becareful from a stop a good 5-sped will get you

I'm not talking about mustangs pre 1999....those are slow as slugs. I'm talking about the 99's and up, those are quick.

Sorry guess I should have put the 02 in the first post with your post.

It was not a 2000+

Sometimes 2+2 = 3 for me

Um, im gonna disagree here. I raced a 2000 V6 to around 95 and was atleast 3 cars ahead of him. They are not fast at all. Take Care
