Empty button space

I couldn't really tell from the pictures but how did you install the switch? Is it drilled into the plastic empty button space or did you get a replacement switch and put it into that space?

In other words, with the aid of a burner you can make your own custom cd with 10 hours of mp3s on it. MP3s work out to aroung 5megs a song (on average)
dounload napster and you'll have access to more songs than you've ever wanted.

ex: anysongtitle.mp3 [/I]

Ummm.. well a few things... Napster sucks. No quality control, etc. Many reasons. I like IMESH better.. and Scour before they took it down. More multimedia formats and better quality checking tools.

Also, why would you burn MP3's into a CD ? Seems clumsy to me. Perhaps on a hard disk or removable disk ..

Why I burn to disks!

First, for those who don't know what mp3s are = go to mp3.com and find out

here is the reason that burning to CDs is better than any other option....

1) 10 hours is longer than any drive I can stand (without a break) therefore I can have one CD with all the music I need. Anymore capacity is too much to navigate while driving and not worth it anyway.

2) It means that I cn burn disks at anybody's place (all my friends have burners) so making new mixes away from home is easy and requires no special hardware.

3) its a CD, if it dies I burn it again = cost 30 cents

4) rewritable disks... I can make a playlist of lets say 40 songs and have it in my car 6 mins later.

5) its the cheapest option... try to beat 10 hours of music without spending more than $300

mp3

MPEG Layer 3 Audio. A music compress format.
MPEG: Motion Picture Expert Group

It makes music files MUCH smaller, which is why they are so popular. Compress an audio file in somthing like WAV and its going to be 40-50 megs versus 2-3 megs.

Just to clarify. MP3s are MPEG I, Layer 3 audio files. It's a 12:1 (approx) compression ratio compared to WAV. Basically you can get 10-12hrs of music on 1 CD with near CD quality. If you encode the MP3s at a higher bitrate the distiction between CD audio and the MP3 is nearly the same, only people with really good equipment and a fine ear can hear the difference, but then you only get about 8hrs per CD...on DAMN!

FYI: MPEG II is used for DVD and high quality video.

i wanted to put some neon in the trunk when i install my subs and amps. what i wanted to know is, how can i make it so that the neons turn on when the trunk opens. the neons need a 12v power sorce right? so, i couldnt just wire it up to the trunk light or something? anyone have any ideas on how i could do this?

Wouldn't it be possible to wire it off of a pressure driven switch? The same way that the doors work. Try to find the location of the trunk light switch and add a switch in the same area? That should work. I've seen people that have wired their neon using relays and aftermarket alarms, so they can turn it off and on with there remote.
