UncleMax, thanks. >>

Interestingly enough, I think I like the projectors with the stock corners instead of a one piece.

Just to throw in my 2 cents...

I would love to get a set of these, especially if they are one piece when they come out.

I'll also agree that I would gladly pay more for higher quality stuff. If we're talking top of the line, OEM quality I wouldn't have a problem shelling out for them.

I'm having trouble seeing straight after seeing Uncle Max's photoshopped work. This looks SO DAMNED SWEET. I think the impact is just about as strong as a body kit, if not more.

And I agree with Albert--it should go with the stock corners. Not only will that keep the price down, you don't lose the functionality (I like that extra corner lighting on demand).

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all I am shocked how nice those look on the maxima. Great photoshopping bro. The company I am working with is sending a representative to Taiwan on Monday to discuss the designing of the projectors. He is also bringing a nice large deposit I gave him to get started on these. Hopefully if everything goes well we will see them in 4 weeks. I will not be taking any orders until I get more accurate pricing from the manufacturer in Taiwan. Thanks to that nice deposit I am now offically broke.

In the up coming weeks I will have prototypes available and will post lots of pictures for you all to see. CustomMaxima.com will be the only place selling these and because of that fact Maxima.org members will get a special discount.

-Your Hard Working Maxima Buddy,
Greg

Hey Greg....you better have like hundreds of these cuz I think everyone with a 4th gen is gonna get a pair of these.....and Im one of them. But seriously, will you have a big enough supply for demand? Just don't want the same thing to happen like with the diamond cut lenses

Just concerned

I'm in for a set. I hope that they'll be able to look exactly like Uncle Max's photoshop or darn close. I don't really care either way about the one piece. I can't wait!

I'm in, once again, I would prefer HID, but even if you do not get HID projector lights, wouldn't it be possible to get and HID Kit and put it on the projector lights, also, if you get the projectors, I assume, it would be the high beam and low beams would be seperate, allowing the HID kit not to lose the high beam, and what size will the high beam lights be or will they be 9004 like the low beam? My friend has a BMW 325i and I recently got him some Nokya lights, 9006, they look beautiful, I would suggest 9004 over 9006. You're probably sick of these suggestions, but I also recommend a group deal when they first come out because you will get a huge amount of buyers thereby lowering the price for us, and getting back the invest you put into the lights yourself.

Supply should not be a problem. The biggest problem will be the time delay in getting them from Taiwan to me here in little ole Connecticut. In the beginning I will have about 25 sets air mailed which takes a couple days and the remaining couple hundred shipped via boat which take 2 weeks. Air mail is alot quicker but costs me ALOT more. I'll keep you all posted with details and shipping.

Greg: Is this company known for producing headlamp systems, both aftermarket or OE? Do you have any design parameters that you're willing to share. I'm not trying to steal your shine, but I'm just curious as to the functionality of these lamps.

UncleMax: I just realized something, if the lamps were to be one-piece, I don't think the corner area would look blackened. It would have to be either a smaller projector unit ( look closely at the corners ) or a reflector like most other car with one-piece lamps ( like this ). If you get a chance, could you modify the pic so that others won't get mislead.

Thanks
AL

Hmm but wouldn't the chromy looking surface be painted black? I would think the whole housing would be black. Look at my head lights they are black other than the center for obviouse reasons. Now I would hope that if the corner is mirror like, the rest of the headlight housing would also be chromy. Like our headlight are chromy and so are the corners. I blackened my headlight but not the corners cuz I cant find the clear corners. Now if some one can tell me who sells them I'll by them and blacken those out so we can see what a 1 piece would look like. I doubt our 1 piece are going to have the little projector corner light like the BM.

I went to the NisNak site and got a close pic of that corner light. Our 1 piece does have a circle light like the BM's

http://www.nis-knacks.com/images/max...close2_big.jpg

So I can see why our new 1 piece housing cant be painted black to look like the Bmeers.

...is merely a metallic cover with an orange cylindrical shell that covers over the 1157 bulb. BMW 5-series use a mini projector for the parking lamp. Either way, it won't be all black on the corners, there will be a "little circular" bit of shinyness.

Shoot I'll paint that black too

Everyone check out the pic I posted earlier.
I changed it to both sides one piece and the corner bulbs.

Can you look back at the 5-series pic...notice the orange reflector on the far sides of the corners. Can you add them on too? They are required by the USDOT. I think on Euro versions of the 5-series, they are clear/white, but definitely there. If you don't want to modify, repost it please, I just want to see it. Thanks bro...

I don't think they need to be on there because our bumper lenses have the reflector on them. That why our corner don't have reflectors.
I tried reposting it but its over 50k after I modified it let met see what I can do.

This keeps getting better and better as we go on! I hope Greg can use this as a prototype proposal for the design process.

I seriously think that if these new headlights can be created without putting the price above the average cost, you'll see a good many people buying them. I'm also assuming that this will free us of the 9004 bulb legacy? Something more desirable like an H4? If so, I'm holding off on those 9004 PIAAs!

As for HID's, you will still be able to get upgrade kits. I wouldn't sell these lights AS HIDs, because the cost will be too high for many.

Anxiously awaiting the fruits of your efforts, Greg!

H3, H4/9003's, 9004s and 9007s would be a no-no in this case. Only single axial filament bulbs can be used in a projector. I'm hoping for H7s, but 9005/9006 and H1s would be fine.

I saw this today while looking for new parts for my Max. Not as nice as ours will be(I hope)but pretty nice. There are so many parts for these damn Hondas,I hate it.

I agree w/ny96max if they fit good...provide as good or better quality light..definately.....for 300 - 350 i doubt they can do HID....80/100 is cool tho.

What kind of modifications to my Max would these require?? Do I need to upgrade my harness, re-wire anything, etc?? Can I install these myself easily??
