According to Greg, these units should be a direct bolt up. But, what will change is the type of bulb (or rathe bulbs) that are used. Instead of the 9004 bulb, there will be two single filament bulbs. One will have to obtain connectors for these new types of bulbs and perform some sort of re-wiring...unless Greg provides some kind of adaptive harness along with the lamps.

And I agree with Albert--it should go with the stock corners. Not only will that keep the price down, you don't lose the functionality (I like that extra corner lighting on demand).
I think you would still be able to use the stock bulbs to light the corner lamps.

Everything is still go on them. Their is going to be at least a month wait until they are close to being done. Should be just in time for mid summer. These are going to be very popular and I am making sure they are going to be awesome. Trust me I will post many pictures and get all of your imputs before I come out with the final set.

I dunno if greg as stated this or not but are these projectors gonna be one piece with corner or are they gonna be produced without the corner lens.

Nothing's seems final yet - I think everyone's going to need to be patient until he gets his first prototype back. like he said, he's going to keep us in the loop & has done a good job of taking our input into consideration & providing info. as it has become available thus far, so. . .

Patience is a virtue, grasshoppah.

Lotsa luck

I can see the haters coming out, deciding these are the Altezzas for the front of our cars. I hope they look good! The lights, I mean.

I don't know about haters - the concensus seems pretty favorable so far. I like what I see, anyway.

I think the more likely comment from non-Max afficionados when they see them will be "so, couldn't afford the Bimmer, eh?"

Oh well, screw 'em. If they look as good as some of the Photo-chops we've seen so far, it'll be a winner, for sure.

I think the photoshop pics show great potential. Then again, I like the look of Altezzas too, though I didn't get them ...

When are we going to see pics of what we will be offered?

I am for the BMW halo look and am for the one piece design if we dont have to give up our cornering lamps!

Count me in.

You're about 2 weeks too early (on the month thing anyway) ... however, an update would be cool ... what do you say Greg?

The more I think about it >>

...the more I feel that these units should be as simple as possible. A low beam and highbeam unit, that only replaces the headlamp portion. This would keep cost down and allow owners to keep their current corner lamps. For those who want HID, they can buy a conversion fit for whatever bulb Greg's design will use for low beam (H1, H7, 9006, etc). And, for those who want those ring city lights from the BMW, feel free to buy one of the many kits available and install them yourselves.

We don't all wait here with baited breath for these lamps and end up with those same things the Honda Accords and Civics have...

soooo. . .don't buy them. Cast your vote.

If no one bothered to try to bring new aftermarket products to the Maxima, we'd all look pretty homogenized, imho. Buy whatchya like.

Don't you guys think the projectors on a skyline look nice? Simple, nice, and back to the basics. Plus don't you think angel eyes will go out of style?

The R34 Skyline doesn't have projectors. Nor does the R33 if I recall correctly.

Sorry have not updated in a while. Spoke to my representative and they said that they are still designing them. Sent over some more measurements last week so everything is going good so far. Just need to be patient. These are being made side by side with projectors for hondas, acuras, etc. The only reason why they are even considering making them for the maxima is cause I signed a contract to purchase a certain amount. If not for that we probably would have not seen them for at least 3 years.
