i think he's talking about the same problem i'm having. my alarm doesn't chirp when i lock and unlock. how do i fix this? is it just a wire or something ? one time i was under the hood looking for a place to run a wire and when i was done, for the next two days it worked then stopped the next time i went under the hood. what's goin on ?

A few days ago I did an experiment with the truck relay that clicks twice when doors are locked with remote. In order not to screw up something, I used another relay being drived by the trunk relay, and then run the added relay to one of the front horns. Didn't sound nice like some cars designed for that chirp, plus it was too loud(can be solved with a resistor in series to drop some voltage). I'd like to find a device that sounds similar to those nice cars' chirp, and install it in the trunk so I don't have to run wires through firewall.

The alarm isn't supposed to chirp when you lock and unlock. It's just not something the 4th gens do.
