Strobes

I'm sure that once you saw the thread title you thought "God, doesn't this newbie know how to use the search?" And yes I do...I waged my way through 10 pages of results and found some good results on what TYPE to buy, but not how many. I know there are kits from whalen that have 4 and 6, (would the 6 be two in front or two in each in back??) I was just wondering what the best number of bulbs to have is 4,6 or 8. Thanx.

Re: Re: Strobes

i will have 16 strobes in my car by next friday.. 6 inside the car and 10 outside (trunk, engine, under car)..

i have the U-strobes in my headlights and the box strobes from galls in my trunk.. the rest are the small tubes, mainly because they are bright and small.. so i dont really care what brand they are..

It varies, there is no set number. Get some in you front sidemarkers and some reverse lights, you should be good then.

Truely it is a personal preference, but realisticly you are looking at a max of 6. Say 4 upfront, in your corners or headlights and 2 in your fogs. the last 2 in your reverse lights? Thats the set up I'm working. I have the whellen sps690 which is a 6 bulb brain that puts 90 watts to each bulb. These are the same ones out of the police cruisers. I have seen some that are 120 watts, but the only difference I've noticed between the 2 is the 90 watts can be seen for about 1/2 mile and the 120's can be seen for about 3/4 mile if you have line of sight. If you catch me online IM me @ mromero1975 I can transfer a movie to you of my car with 2 strobes.
