Tried to race a Camaro...

Shortly after midnight yesterday, I see this shiny new silver Camaro merging onto the freeway at a pretty good pace. Had never been able to get someone in a Camaro to race me before, mostly rich old guys drive them around here, I dunno what's up with that. Anyways, I pulled up next to him, and the car just seemed to leap forward and I saw taillights before I even got the petal down! Second time, I was ready for it and got a decent start but he still wasted me. Oh well, lesson learned I guess.

Thats bad, but not as bad as being paired up with a vette Z06. I was at the track and I got the RT on him. So I'm getting ready to shift into 2nd when his car makes contact with the ground and POOF He's done. I'm still smiling because just for that 1.3 seconds I was beating the doors down on a Vette.

Z28s/SSs are pretty fast. I learnt that racing inside my friends Z28

Wouldn't dare take it up my Max against an SS/28.

Supercharger = 145HP at the wheels.... That's very fast! I'm hoping it's a 6spd., If you have a fast car, it better not be automatic unless you have like 1200whp, guy OR girl.

yeah, even with 4 people in my friend's ss it is ungodly fast. He bought it from a dealer w/ 40,000 miles. After a while he heard some rattling in the trunk. He looked under the carpet and ...ta-da... clamps for a nitrous bottle. The guy that leased the car before probably ran like a 150 shot and beat the hell out of the engine.

My 18 year old brother drives a '94 Z28 that ran a 12.7 at MIR about 2 weeks ago. Talk about sibling rivalry, I dont even stand a chance. He's trying to sell me the car too, and the worst part is I have to hit myself to stop thinking about doing it.

I was thinking Id start a new, more urban Camaro club . The thought of being able to beat my friends by 3 seconds or more at the track is what's tempting.
