Thoughts about Red/Clear Smoked

Hey you guys with red/clear taillights, I was driving around today and I saw an older Lex GS300 with red and smoke clear taillights (stock). I am wondering how that would look. I did a little photoshop posted below, but now I am very interested. Do any of you guys have an idea how to smoke out our lenses? I could always rig it by spraying a coat of gray spray over it, but that would look ghetto and fade. Any ideas?

Been there, done that...

But it was too dark and didn't even look that good so now it's gone.

Ya check my page for a tail shot...

...its called Nightshades Spray Tint...$10/can. Its been on since June or July and I like it. I made mine dark so I could cover up the amber lense, but you can go much lighter if you have red-clears. Would look good in my opinion.
