KENWOOD DD and INDIGLO's INSTALLED :)

yes and I am soo happy...i didn't do installing but after seeing my friend do it, I am happy i didn't...somethings just aren't worth saving money...this friend of mine is great...he knew that the BOSE system uses it's own amps for each speaker which transmits like 18 watts max, so he rewired it so all speakers run through my Kenwood DPX 4020 head unit...now my head unit is too strong for my speakers. Bigger chance of blowing my speakers but atleast i have something to work with in the future. also, he did indiglo gauges for me...they look real nice...i colored the tip black cause that's the only marker i could find at the moment, but everything looks great. I dont' have a camera to give pics but when i get one or find a way, i'll definitely post pics...

My questions is that the kenwood i have says it does 22 watts RMS and 47 watts MAX PEAK, YET, my front speakers (blaupunkt 50 watts) and back (MTX 200 PEAK) go ballistic when i only go up to like 35 on my volume control, i know it goes farther than that...atleast 50 but i'm too scared to put it past 35 cause they sound like they will start geting distorted. If my speakers can suposedly handle the peak from statistics, why is this happening?

oh, he rewired all door speakers and back 6X9's and did indiglo's for only 60 dollars! something a retail store would charge me well over 130 to do...since they had to go through all speakers due to taking out amps....now i'm safe from any BOSE trouble

but my dam head unit sticks out...doesn't look too bad but now, even wit my tints, people can see my head unit if they look over hard through the front...well, just gotta be careful where i park....but can someone answer my question above?

Because head unit amps suck. Not just yours, every one. Your speakers can handle the wattage fine, but your head unit can't supply it. That "47" watts or whatever is probably at like 2% distortion and only for a split second at optimal conditions. If you want it louder, you have to buy an amp. No way around it.
