I got deployed to Qatar.......and when i got back from there....(it sucked) i had to go to upgrade training........now im going to UAE (yes the desert again) in about 3 weeks..........

Regardless both half shafts are getting replaced monday......

Direct? The parts are, yes...absolutely.

But the only problem is that our ECU's don't have the function calls to open the VI at the proper RPM. This can be solved with an RPM switch and some sort of vacuum mechanism, I believe.

I ordered my part from the ME last week. I should receive it and have it installed in the next few weeks. Then we will be able to prove it's worth on Naturally Aspirated Engines.

MardiGrasMax installed it on his boosted Max, and gained +25 fwhp.

My current source in Saudi is charging me $469 for a new one shipped.

Prices seem to be between $299 used (this turned out to be for the wrong engine, however), and $1400 new.

It all depends on what country and exhange rates, really.

I seem to have found the best deal so far, but UAE's exchange rates seem to be even better, so maybe you'll get lucky.

Read the "Variable Intake from NZ thread" in the GM forums. The part numbers are in there.

We need an on-site source for these, and maybe you oculd be just the man to do that.

Of course ill be confined to base due to our current threat conditions....but i can try to at least get some info on a provider and price....
