Need Help installing CAI!!

I have a 97 and the pr cai is off of a 95. I ran into a problem when it comes to the ambient temperature sensor. The 95 max it came off of had a place where the sensor gets screwed into the intake tube above where the MAF is located. My 97 has a clip for the sensor not a piece that can be screwed in, and I'm not sure if it is possible to get it to fit. Basically, is it possilbe to get an intake off of a 95 to fit on a 97? I need help asap cause my car is apart right now!

I'm trying to think back to my install...the sensor has a rubber lining (at least mine did) around it so that it fit right in the hole on the CAI above the MAF that you're referring to. You're saying the hole for this thing is threaded? Is it a different size than the sensor? Did you try to test fit it? Man, if it dosen't fit, I don't know how you would go about adapting it to do so...

The fastest answer you are going to get is going to be if you call Place Racing themselves. BTW, I have a 95 max with PR CAI and my sensor just unbolted off the bottom of the stock airbox and I just followed the instructions and bolted right up to the CAI.

Thanks guys... I had the whole adapted so the sensor and rubber grommet would fit. The existing hole was made larger and sealed with silicone. Everything is working fine and it sounds awesome . I definatley noticed an improvement in its acceleration.

Do you need an adapter like you do on just a cone filter to atttach the upper half of the CAI on the end that leads to the throole body?
