Opinions on my $15 upper intake pipe..
Opinions on my $15 upper intake pipe..
I spent about 15 dollars putting together this intake pipe and about 10 more on a crankcase breather. I think it works well for a 25 dollar investment(Especially for a broke college student).
Does anyone like it? Any opinions are welcome...
Thanks!!
I have some other pics if this one is too blurry

Dyno it and see how it compares to the other Hybrid HAIs
Did that replace the resenator? Can give me a write up on what materals you used?
I will post anything you want about where to get it if you want but give me a little bit....I want to make sure this thing will hold up,I havent got a chance to really test it out.wouldnt want to say its works great and then something break on me
I dont know if this will help but, get a 3" piece of pipe and a reducer connector to get rid of that accordian flex section.
Thanks!!

For the money that is probably worth it, but the upper part of the PR CAI is really nice as well. I you want to smooth out the airflow more removing that accordian section should help. The only downside is that you're air sensor isn't in the right place anymore. The PR piping has a hole in the bottom where you insert the air sensor that sits at the bottom of the "scoop" piping that goes to the stock airbox.-hype
You think that really would make a difference? Moving the air sensor to a different place?
What a minute which one are you talking about, the one off the valve cover? If thats the case I can spend another 3.00 and make another connection. I just used one of those mini k&n filters.
This is the one your talking about right?(the hose that connects here?)

Do you get a whistle? Most of the cars that I've seen with breathers get a whistling with breather filters. Sorry for the tangent. The sensor I am talking about senses air temps and is in a small rubber grommet at the bottom of the piping from the "scoop". I don't remember the technical name sorry. I totally missed the sensor when I put on my upper piping, but after noticing the hole I started looking. I've been told it doesn't make that much of a difference whether you relocate the sensor or not (Thomas didn't), but I figure I may as well have it where it's supposed to go.
Hope that helps.

Just checked for the whistle...not from the little breather. From the big one theres a whole lot of sucking though
Ok the little temp diode? I think I know what your talking about, I just left that one hanging for a bit, doesnt seem to change much. I had it unplugged for a while and it threw a CEL, so I plugged it back up.Thanks for the input man!
