Engine diff between 96 GXE & SE?
I got to drive my buddy's 96 SE yesterday and it felt a lot quicker than mine (96 GXE). Mine has only 45k and the SE has 84K - the difference was like driving a different car - his engine felt less restricted and more free-revving. Both the cars are totally stock, both auto, even have similar OEM air filters and use comparable gas.
Only difference is that the SE uses full-synthetic oil as opposed to regular on mine.
I know the engines have the rated HP - but is there a difference in the power-curves or something (maybe a lighter flywheel on the SE?) or is my car just messed up?
P-S: I bought the maxima only 2 weeks ago and don't have much history with it.
