You know the 2600 mcd is a different color than the 300 mcd leds. This is assuming you're using the Radioshack 276-311 (300 mcd) which is kinda purplish in comparison to the 276-316 (2600 mcd) that is more of a truer blue. Please post pics when you do the swap. I'm thinking about doing mine again with leds and removing the glass stain.

the leds i used where 1500 mcd, so the blue i got was more on the sky blue than a purple blue like yours.

This works perfectly. I've had them in for about a year. The rears were actually easier than the front master sitch. I used Radio Shack 5mm blue LED's. Part # 276-316. 3.7v, 20mA, 2600mcd(I wanted them to be bright).

Also, would the same size lights for the window buttons work for the AC light, and the air flow direction lights? Cuz those are green as well. Good thing there is only 1 button on the passenger side

If i make this change to my window button colors, is it recommended to do the rears? I won't really be showing off to anyone, just for my own satisfaction.

Bryan, it looks REALLY good with all four doors done. And trust me, you may not be doing it for the compliments... but you'll like 'em when all your friends start telling you how cool the blue's look.

just to point out, and correct me if i'm wrong

430nm leds light up a really nice blue right... more deep blue near purple in color.

470nm leds light up a near sky blue color right? they are a lighter color and nearer to the green spectrum. BUT they still look like a nice blue.

I only realised this like about a week ago... heh
I'm gonna start looking more for 430nm leds. I think
they might look nicer.

1) Red LEDs tend to be VERY bright

2) I did

If you can find LEDs that will work and aren't particularly bright (like I did) they look really cool. I've got blue on the rear and passenger door, blue on the window switches on the driver side, and red on the power window lock button and the power door lock button. Looks cool... I just haven't been able to get a good pic. I will sooner or later and I'll post.

EDIT: As a side note, I don't think reds all around would look very good anyway. Look at the security light on your stock alarm. Now picture having that all around your car...

I did white/blue. . . It all depends on what you are after. . . I lke the white because they are bright and in the spots they are put in they match the intensity of the blue. I just think people like blue because it is a newer color as far as LEDs go.
