Dumb idea.
Blue lights are usually reserved for emergency vehicles.
And not only that, blue lights in the reverse lights just looks dumb.

Somebody must have done it to their 4th gen ... I bet it'll look super cool!

Even if they aren't illegal, think about this: You're in a dark driveway and you're trying to reverse out. You're looking back thru you tinted windows and the blue light your reverse lights are throwing out just don't make anything clear. You may wind up bumping into something and scratching your car's tail.
I've been trying to find reverse lights I could put in my 921 socket that are a much brighter and whiter than stock. Haven't found any though. They all seem to be the same 18 watts.

If you want a blueish tint, try the PIAA extreme white 921 bulbs. Same 18 watts, but the color is more a blueish white. Not any brighter than stock, though. I have a pair if you want e'm. Make me an offer.

Actually, my reverse lights are blue. They were my corner lights for a couple years and looked great til I move to FL and the cops pulled me over and told me to change them. ( glad I just got down there and had the GA plates still on) So I just threw them in the reverse cause i was bored. They dont look bad, and there is still plenty of light. But I'll end up changing them back to clear anyway.

I got 55 watts reversing lights...
This is on my 3:rd gen max. Stock is 21 watts in Sweden.
But any shop that sells carparts, has this lights, they also come with a beeper , that makes your car sound like a reversing truck..
But i got the ones without the beeping..It looks just like the lamp ju put inte the foglights, but with different bottom. It really lights up the hole driveway and a bit on the street when I´m pulling out from my house.
