Please Help: Left Side Speakers Muffled Only During CD Playback
For some reason, ONLY when I play CD's out of my 2002 Bose headunit
(with six disc in-dash CD Player) the left side speakers (both front and rear) are muffled and not playing correctly. They play slightly, but very faint and sounds like only midrange. But as soon as I switch to radio they play fine. What can that be. I don't think it's the speakers because they work fine with the radio. Could it be the head unit? If it is the headunit, why would it play fine with radio and not CD? I'm confused. Also, if it plays muffled during CD playback, sometimes it will correct itself when I hit a bump in the road. Sounds like a loose connection to me. Nyone else had this problem? The radio is covered by my three year warranty right?

mine is at the dealer getting replaced as we speak. i went in, told him the problem and he said "ive seen this before. ill order a replacement for you". i was pleased.
meanwhile, when you are waiting for the dealer to receive the new headunit, give the headunit a firm pound with your fist and it will temporarily fix the problem. it will come back, just give it another hit. normally this isnt the kind of thing you want to do, but since its going to be replaced you have nothing to lose.
