Anyone have problems shifting from 3 to 4th?

when i'm really getting on it and I shift from 3rd into 4th, i seem to get hung up sometimes. It just jams and I have to let the clutch out and back in and try again. anyone else have this problem? i'm pretty sure it's not me missing the gear, i mean, its straight down for gods sake!

thx

i get that sometimes too. i don't know why the friggin' thing does that, but it usually doesn't cause too many problems. if i get in the situation where i have to speed shift to 4th, i'm usually already ahead of whatever i'm up against.

just shift as fast as you can without it getting screwy and leave the speed shifting for 1st through 3rd.

You're holding the shifter completely wrong. Take your hand and invert your hand so that your thumb is pointing down. Now wrap your palm around the front of the shifter. This is how you grab the 3-4 quickly. Holding the shifter "pistol" grip style will make you get hung up between 2 and 4 because you're pulling shifter towards your body. Inverting your hand will make you pull the shifter straight down. Not down and to the left.
