scraping the front piece of a body kit is a fact of life. but i scraped about 10 times today and im pretty ticked. my paint is cracking a little now and chipped in one place.
how often do you guys scrape? how do you cope. it is tragic to me.

I try to be diligent by scanning the road ahead of me at all times for dips, potholes and steep driveways but there are the odd times I fail and end up scraping the lip and hoping to God that it isn't serious. It's a fact of life so you have to live with it.

 

No way to avoid it. Good thing it's made of urethane. If it was fiberglass, it would have been cracked already. Just get it repaint every two or three years and it will look good as new.

 

i just hate those steep entraces to parking lots and things like that, where your lip goes straight into it and you cant avoid it and then you hear that horrible scraping sound- i just wish i didnt have to go in those places

 

more like getting it painted 2-3 times a year for me. Im going to see if i can use that front lip protection that JT auto body has. hmm sometime in the near future for me.
