I've had this problem for the past couple days now, when coming to a full stop while slowing down(5-10miles/hour), I can feel a knocking sensation coming from underneath the brake pedal it feels like. This isn't under hard braking but under any braking when coming to a stop. Brakes are new by the way.

Were your rotors turned? Sounds like a bad spot or a crack in a rotor.

 

Maybe...but it doesn't feel that way, it doesn't do it all the time.

I forgot to mention that when parked with the car off, if I press on the brake pedal, I can hear a lose bolt moving, then the sound stops and if I press again and release, it'll come back and keep doing it for 5secs or so until it stops moving....it's weird

 

Get your head under there and take a look. Its dangerous to have things loose for the brake pedal.

 

-if you had a shop perform the work, take it back to them & demand that the problem be resolved.


If however, you/friend did the work:

+jack the car up & place on jackstands

+remove the wheel(s) from the suspect side(s)

+visually inspect for anything obviously wrong

+check that pads are seated correctly in retaining clips

+inspect rotor surfaces for cracks or other damage

+torque all bolts to factory specs: (torque member bolts, caliper pin bolts)

+replace wheels, torque lug nuts to spec. test drive.
