Exploded bulb

A while back a headlight bulb exploded in my headlamp housing. How do I get the broken glass out? Any help would be great!
thanks

Take the headlight assy out of the car. Fill it with water, swish swish and drain. Repeat untill it's nice and clean. Use mild dish detergent. To aid in drying, use a hair dryer and blow hot air in there for about 15 minutes. All the reflectors come nice and shiny like new again.

when mine exploded there was a residue left after I removed all the glass. i had some cheap xenon hid imitations off ebay at the time. i had to remove the whole light, take it apart, scrub it down and dry it out. there is still a faint stain on the bottom but it is clean.

I had a bulb blow up in the headlight housing also. Getting the glass out is the easiest. Getting the powder out is hard. I tried the coat hanger trick but it took a long time to get most of the residue out.
Plus I did scratch the reflectors. I was going to try again to get it cleaner with water only but njmaxseltd is probably right and I'll try mild dish detergent.
