No. Won't work, won't fit, won't attach to the tranny. No way, no how.

I heard a rumor that in 2004 the Max will be rear wheel drive with a V8....

I think because they are bringing up the level of the Altima to the current Maxima and I30 level. Thus pushing the Max to the Q45 level. Keep you rfingers crossed.

Next I30 will be RWD according to Autoweek, even though they will not share a platfor with the Maxima, hopefully they will make them the same still as far as that goes.

I heard a while back that the next rear wheel drive sedan platform will be called "XVL". Similar in size to a Maxima/I30 but rear wheel drive and all the fun luxury bells and whistles...

Probably the Maxima might remain for a few years with a new 3.5L VQ motor... Thats my guess

The max is going to get larger. The current altima is smaller...but not that small. Its due out next summer and will be a tad smaller than the current max....probably be 4th gen size with a vq as an option. BUT will it be the 190hp vq or the 222hp? If the weight will be the same as a 4th gen its gonna fly....esp with 222.

I heard the same thing... that the 2003 Maxima is going to be a V8 but they are making it a full size car like the Q45. This is what my uncle told me at Nissan.
