Does anyone read my threads? :P

I don't know where my original post went, but since it's no longer in the 4th gen forum here it is again.

First can someone please look up ECU Code 1405 in the 1999 FSM? None of the codes starting with 14 are in ANY ECU decoder anywhere.

I recently noticed a ground strap was broken while working with my exhaust so I replaced it.
ECU Code 1405 and O2 sensor ground

I checked the ECU and pulled the 1405 error code. I never would have known I had a code because the CEL wasn't triggered. Tonight I am going to go measure the resistance of my oxygen and knock sensor to make sure they aren't the cause, but I don't know what else could be wrong. I'm glad we can check error codes, but I don't see the point in throwing codes if the CEL doesn't come on.

After reading a lot more and pulling out my multimeter I am suspecting my knock sensor. I'm not quite sure if I tested the right pins for the knock sensor, but the reading was 230 KOhms as opposed to the supposed 500-620KOhhs. I only have 51k on my car right now so the knock sensor seems like it should still be good
The O2 sensor checked out at 4.3-4.5Ohms. I suppose my problem could stem from plugs, IACV, or the EGR though.

Reading through more threads it seems like there's a few ECU codes that don't trip the MIL.

-Knock Sensor Code
-Cut O2 Ground Strap
"If you have a broken ground strap in your wiring somewhere your check engine light probly won't come on, but the computer still logs the problem"
-EGR code

I'm surprised the MIL doesn't go off on some of these things, especially the knock sensor.

Update:
I just checked my sensor today and it immediately registered 570KOhms which is within the 500-600KOhm spec. My front O2 sensor also registered correctly. I had ECU Code 1405 (which noone knows) and I suspect it may have something to do with the EGR. BTW on my '99 the knock sensor is located in a different place than the '95s.

My knock sensor is directly under the very center of the intake manfiold. I'm pretty sure there is no way I can replace the knock sensor without removing the intake manifold.

In 2 months or so I will have ~53-55k and I will be removing the intake manifold. Should I replace the knock sensor so I don't have to take off the manifold in the future? I really don't want to introduce any leaks especially with the VI.
