CAI worth getting with fog lights????

Has anyone ever Dyno'd or have a CAI with fog lights installed?

If so did you notice a worthwhile modification or not much of a gain because the fog lights block the air from entering the CAI?

PLEASE HELP DON"T WANT TO THROW $ AWAY

Funny how these things come up that I didn't even think about. I installed my PR CAI last fri and on the way to the track my side indicator light fell out and I looked in and could see the air filter. Then I realized that the Fog Light does block a lot of the air into the space so I am seriously thinking about removing the fogs. However the side marker must be letting in some air because it gave me a best time.

This is one of the things I thought about before I ordered my CAI. It looks like there are other ways for air to get into the fender well but the foglight hole seems like the biggest and most direct route. I hate the way a Maxima (or any car with holes for fogs) looks without fogs, so I will be leaving them in. Maybe somebody with a CAI could try some 1/4 mile runs with and without the left fog light. After I get my CAI and if I get to the track I may try it but since I am a 5 speed and have never been to the track before my times will probably not be consistant enough to tell.

The other option is just taking out the fog light at the track. My Son does that with his headlight because his intake is behind it on the VR6.

So what is your opinion did you notice much of a difference with the fog light on opposed to stock?
Anyone else have any opinions about this mod w/ fog lights
Also does anyone know if a CAI will increase or decrease gas milage?

I think it does make a difference if you have fogs. Maybe not much...but enough to notice a slight difference if you removed them. As for the gas mileage...I think it decreases. Only because you'll find yourself on the accelerator alot more to hear that growl.

I haven't tried it yet with the fog out but I will next time I am at the track which is the 26th May our first Import Race of the year. The only reason I had the side marker out was it fell out on the way to the track. Socket for the ball end was loose, I ordered another one, lucky it didn't come loose from the connector and fall off on the highway.
