There may be an cheaper alternative for sticking a blowa on your V6, here in Australia we're able to supercharge the buick 3.8 for $2000 Aus which is about $1000 US.
The supercharger is a factory fitted one found on a lot of Japanese Toyotas. Check with your japanese second hand parts dealers, here these blowers are available for $400 Aus.
