i recently got the stillen y-pipe. has anyone here done the install themselves?? if so is it difficult or should i take it to a shop and get it done. thank you

Much easier wth air tools. Two of the bolts are tough to get leverage on with out them, but its not that bad, just have some patience.

A bunch of people have done it themselves, but if you only have hand tools do this...jack your car up a bit (the front), put it on stands, get under it and try to loosen the cat/y-pipe bolts. My guess is that they are on there pretty good (rust), so if they are too tough to take off yourself you might be better off taking it somewhere and having it done.

Just my suggestion...

If you have the money go to a shop and pay for the install.

RUSTed bolts are a pain. Jacking up the car can be a pain.

Lighting can be a pain. Getting someone to help you, reaching, proper tools,cussing, stripped bolts etc.

In the end you will be very happy...
