for 5-speed guys w/supercharger

Greetings. I am trying to use the search feature but some kind of message telling me it can't load the page pops up when trying to use it. I'm sure this was talked about but I can't look it up. I was at an autocross the other day and a max owner came over to my car and we were talking. He asked if I was going to put on a s'charger. I told him I wanted to but had to save up. He said DON'T. He said the Maxi's tranny can't handle the power. He said two Max owners, his friends, had 5 speeds and put on s'chargers. And within a few weeks, they're trannys failed. Is this so? I have heard that the tranny's are questionable as it is with the incorrect shim that was discussed, but does the s'charger really cause problems like this? I know...those do sound pretty extreme. What are your thoughts? Sorry for the length of this post.

I think Cheston has not had any problems... I'm sure there are others who have done it too...
